Multipool BPMN example

Enclosed is an example of a BPMN process in a pool interacting with another BPMN pool. Also noteworthy is the correct usage of event based gateway. I am using Oracle BPMN solution's latest version to model this diagram. The BPMN visual extension capability has been used to create the color coded human (green) and automated (blue) tasks. This will further enhance the readability of the BPMN diagaram in Oracle BPA Suite.

The event-based gateway is correct, but it is considered best practice to also include a timer event as one of the possible events to avoid a hung process if the customer neither accepts or rejects the order.

Jim I totally agree with your recommendation. I dont know when I will get to it but will definitely try and incorporate this in the next version of the model on the post. If you have a smaple, just send it over and I can make sure it makes it to the blog.
